Visible Mending Workshop | Tuesday 14th June

We are teaming up with Assia Lollia who will be teaching you how to darn your clothing to bring them back to life and add something beautiful.
Please bring along a knitted item to mend and we will provide the needles, yarns, scissors and even some knitted scraps to practise on if you don't have an item of clothing. If you have some lovely yarn or threads you would like to use then please bring those along too!
Assia will also provide a handout to explain the basic steps so you can practice in your own time.
The workshop is beginner friendly, from threading the needle to identifying stitches in the knitted fabric.
About Assia : "I'm obsessed with knitwear and darning. I love repairing cherished items to give them a longer life, saving them from landfill and also making them unique in the process. I'm French and learned how to knit in the Shetland Islands, I've been living in London for the past two years. I explore how practicing mending helps people soothe their anxiety and gives value to everyday items"
