Lowie has just launched its new Autumn/Winter collection for 2025 and what better way to celebrate than meeting our lovely designer, Nat.
She is going to talk us through all of her inspirations for this season and what she loves about the new pieces, she is such an integral part of Lowie and we are always in awe of her vision and endless joy she brings to her designs. Let’s jump in!

What was your biggest inspiration for this new collection?

We wanted to focus the new collection on historical statements. Medieval castles, iconography, castles and Jewel tones, our super cute Needlecord Castle Bomber Jacket has just that. Another thing we were drawn to was rich, deep colours inspired by gemstones. Emerald greens, sapphire blue, ruby red and amethyst purple. This manifested in our Wool Brushed Boxy Cardigans from Scotland.

Were there any textures or colours you were particularly drawn to?

We always like to link our signature colours of pink and teal. Our newest addition is our Velvet Trousers in Magenta and Midnight Blue. We have used a new Velvet, which is a different fabric and it’s super luxurious and regal, linking again with our Jewel tones. We loved the idea of Medieval influences and partnered our cardigans with a gorgeous whisky colour this season which sold out almost straight away. Very autumnal and much loved by our Lowie customers. Equally loved, our colour combinations of the Alpaca Blue/Red and Pink/Citrine with all our accessories which we wanted to feel like an added statement to any outfit.

How did you get into design and what do you love about it?

When I was 16 I didn’t do A levels, instead I went to do fashion design at Kingston college and then continued my studies there and went on to do a university course of the same vein for three years. My favourite thing about being a designer is getting fabrics and drawing, I love Appliqué prints and putting fun pictures on garments, I am always looking to bring joy to my pieces.

Why is sustainability important to you? And when did you become conscious of it?

I’ve always been worried about waste, ever since I was little. That’s the most important thing to me in regards to sustainability. One of the best things about buying from Lowie, is we produce smaller amounts of our collections intentionally with the idea that we sell each piece. That makes us unique in our eco-conscious journey and with doing our best for the planet. Upcycling and recycling has always been on the forefront of my mind and it’s part of my process with designing too.

How did you begin your journey with Lowie?

I have always followed Lowie and been aware of the brand, I wanted to work at a sustainable, independent business. Having always lived in south London I wanted to stay local and be part of the community. It is vital that we continue to support small, independent businesses.

Pop into our store in Herne Hill and meet Nat for yourself, she is always happy to chat all things Lowie 💚
