Upcycled Umbrellas
As the saying goes… when it rains, it pours. And my goodness it can really pour when it wants to, can’t it?! Oftentimes, accompanied by great gusts of wind that play havoc with the humble umbrella (particularly if it’s been purchased mid-thunder at the closest supermarket you’d dived into before the heavens opened).
New in for SS21
Without wishing to seem like we’re tempting fate here at Lowie HQ, we just thought we’d enjoy a little look forward to some of the new and whimsical things that have arrived in store. And since opening our (brand new) doors, the sun has been pouring through our windows and we are so happy to be welcoming you all back in.
A note from Jo, our hand knitter
I’ve knitted from the age of 8. My grandmother worked in a Bury Cotton Mill, so textiles are in my DNA. My mother showed me how to unravel jumble sale wool jumpers, wash and re-use the yarn. I continue to do this, I get cashmere knitwear from Lowie and from Charity Shops, to work with.
